The inverter is created to increase DC voltage and turn it into AC to power different appliances. You cannot use DC without the DC to AC inverter as the appliance’s power supply will need AC power for correctly stepping down and regulating voltage. 

Charge Controllers: This type of controller or regulator is a voltage and/or current regulator that prevents batteries from overcharging. It monitors and controls the voltage flowing from the panels to the battery. 

Battery Bank: Either comprised of a solitary battery or several interconnected batteries that are synced to work as one, these perform at a specific voltage and amp-hour capacity. The best types of batteries for off-grid power are deep cycle batteries. 

Deep cycle batteries are designed to have thicker plates than starting batteries and are built to deliver small amounts of pure power over an extended period of time, unlike a starting battery that will give you a spurt of power over shorter periods.
